Howard E. Raethke1936 - 2013Howard Raethke, 77, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday Aug. 13, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Howard was born on Feb. 14, 1936, in Pepin, Wis., the son of the late Clinton and Mildred (Seng) Raethke. He was educated in the schools of Pepin. He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving as a sergeant. He married Marjorie Mae Walters on March 1, 1958, in Durand, Wis. He was employed as a machinist at Case Co. for 38 years. He was a member of the Free Masons, and Racine Boxing Club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, coaching boxing, cheering for the Packers & Brewers, going up north to his cabin in Pepin, Wis., and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Raethke of Kenosha; his children, Rodney (Roxanne) Raethke of Lisbon, WI, Ronda (Dave) Mattson, Russell (Margie) Raethke, Randall (Kelly) Raethke all of Kenosha; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Wayne, and Glen Raethke, and sisters, Dorothy Swanson and Betty Westberg. A greeting time with the family will be held on Saturday Aug. 17, 2013, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 2-5 p.m. with military honors and funeral services to follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
