James August Spagnolo passed away at his home in Rock Hill, South Carolina on December 3, 2016 at the age of 68. Jim was a Vietnam War veteran having served in the 2nd Battalion, 9th Artillery, 4th Division of the U.S. Army and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He retired to South Carolina from the United States Postal Service in Northeast Ohio. Jim was born on July 29, 1948 in Bedford, Ohio. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jacqueline Wilkinson Spagnolo, on September 21, 1968. He is survived by Jackie and their three loving daughters, Dina Wells, Jamie Spagnolo, and Megan Lai. He was adored (and feared) by his two sons-in-law, Jason Wells and Alex Lai. Jim also lives on through his three cherished granddaughters, Mallory Spagnolo (Justin Outlaw), Bethany Wells and Mackenzie Wells and great-grandchildren Gavin, Olive and Rose Outlaw. Jim is also survived by his beloved mother Annette Spagnolo, and his sisters Dianne Migliorini and Carol Holt. He is predeceased by his father, Albert Spagnolo and his grandson-in-law, Eric Rohrer. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW, Post 2889 in Rock Hill.
