McKIERNAN, James C. Age 84 of Riverside passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. He was born on December 24, 1931 in Barberton, Ohio, the son of the late John Chester and Cleo Gertrude McKiernan. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife M. Ann, and his son, James C. McKiernan, Jr., and 2 granddaughters Elissa Marie and Larissa Ann McKiernan. Jim shared 61 years in marriage to his beloved Ann. He was the proud father of his four children and cared for his children's spouses, Michael and Lorraine McKiernan, John and Nancy McKiernan, Catherine Sue McKiernan, Lori McKiernan, and Carol McKiernan. He was greatly invested in his 8 grandchildren, Jonathan (Terese) McKiernan, Matthew (Stephanie) McKiernan, Gillian McKiernan, Jason (Kristie) McKiernan, Sharon (Jason) Briggs, Jessica (Blake) Nelson, John McKiernan Jr., David (Anisha) McKiernan; and delighted in his 21 great grandchildren. In the last chapter of his life, after the departure of his wife Ann, Jim traveled to Washington State. He spent his last days living with John (his youngest son) and Nancy McKiernan and family, enjoying a beautiful summer in their country home, surrounded by evergreens.
