Janet M. (Wood) BrooksJanet M. (Wood) Brooks, 77, Springfield, Mo. passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, after a long illness. She was born on May 9, 1939, in Greene County, MO., to Armond and Edith (Molder) Smith. A homemaker, Janet had been a member of the Robberson Prairie Baptist Church, since 1947. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Brooks, two sons; Tim Wood and Darell Brooks and his wife Kim. Sister Pat Brown and husband Don. Three grandchildren: Matt, Eric, and Abbey Wood. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as her special friends.The family would like to offer thank you to the Dr's and nursing staff at Mercy Hospital, 6-D. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
