Jason Saleem Kellam was the first baby born in 1984 which makes his birthday to be January 1, 1984, in Philadelphia, PA. He was born to Adrienne and the late Perry Kellam Sr. 

“Jay” affectionately called by his family and friends, was educated in the city of Philadelphia; as well as, Capital School District. After graduating high school in 2001 he moved back to North Philly up until his sudden death.

Jason is proceeded in death by his father, Perry Kellam Sr., his son who passed at birth, Jacion Kellam and his uncle, Wallace. 

He is survived by his mother, Adrienne Kellam of Los Angeles, CA; his older brothers, Perry Kellam Jr (Vida) of Philadelphia, Kyle Kellam Sr(Charlene), Michael Kellam; and his older sister, Cheryl Jenkins (Eric Sr) all of Dover; his godchildren, who happen to also be his nieces and great nephew, Jaslynn Jenkins, Jasmine Jenkins, Jasmira Jenkins and Cartier Harris all of Dover; two special friends, Charles Drummond of Dover, Corey Harris of Philadelphia, PA; as well as, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was expecting a child to be due in July of 2018.

A celebration of life and burial will take place in the privacy of the family Monday, January 1, 2018, in Orangesburg, SC.
