Jean Richard Gabrius, 85, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on November 25, 2020. Jean Richard was born on March 09, 1935. Jean was born in Port Au Prince Haiti but moved to the United States at the young age of 19 in pursuit of a better life. He soon met Yaya Desir and they got married in 1957.

He worked hard his whole life to take care of Yaya and their children. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his many instruments and going to church because he was a devout Catholic. He is survived by his 5 children Julius Gabrius, Marie Gabrius, Beatrice Gabrius, Miratha Narcisse, and Florence Baptiste. He is also survived by his grandchildren Steven Gabrius, Benjamin Gabrius, Sabine Gabrius, Cassandra Jean-Marie, Tatiana Herisse, Sarah Estime, Julio Gabrius, Tacha Gabrius, Joanna Gabrius, and Vanessa Gabrius. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, siblings and other friends and family members whom he loved dearly.
