Jennifer Chavez was born in Minneapolis on July 11, 1976, and moved to Brooklyn, New York, with her family in the fall of 1999. She died on February 14, 2018, due to complications associated with rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Plymouth Church in Brooklyn, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jennifer's memory.

Jennifer was survived by her parents, Mark and Patty Grau. She went to St. Joseph’s College New York for Medical Technology with her Master's Degree in 2005.
