Jerry N. Lee, 78Muncie - passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis.He was born on February 13, 1939 in Ligonier, IN, the son of Kenneth and Lelia (Staton) Lee.Jerry worked as a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers for fifty years retiring in 2001. He married Sandra L. Forker on November 22, 1958 in Goshen, IN.Jerry was also a crossing guard for several years at Muncie Community Schools. He was a member of University Christian Church for fourteen years and a member of the Moose. Jerry loved going to McDonalds to talk to his group of friends and word finder puzzles.Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Sandra Lee; daughter, Tami Somerset (husband, David); son, Steven Lee (wife, Roxanne); grandchildren, Amber Somerset, Jessica Bernfield, and Ashely Lee; great-grandchildren, Brayden Bernfield and Arianna Bernfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial services is being planned and will be held at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to University Christian Church, 2400 N Nebo Rd, Muncie, IN 47304.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.meeksmortuary.com
