John D. "Don" Zismer, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. He was born on October 22, 1932 in Ada, Missouri to John and Florence, Zismer. Don went through the Marine Corps Academy at the age of 17, after graduating he served his country in the
Korean War. He was a member of the CIA as a Secret Service Agent and proudly served for President, George H. Bush. He also worked for
General Motors Corporation. Don is survived by his wife, Charlene; his children, Debbie and Jeff; granddaughter, Remick; great-granddaughter, Atticus; brothers, Willis and Larry; sisters, Martha Nicohls and Zoe Davis. Don was preceded in death by his mother and father; son, Richard; brother, Ron; and sister, Kay. Don volunteered at The Yuma Historical Society and was a Desert Tours guide for many years. Don was by far the sweetest, kindest man in Yuma. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Bottoms Up Pub, 11411 S. Fortuna Rd., Suite 111, Yuma, AZ.
