Joseph Lusignan, 74, of Syracuse, New York, passed Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Joseph was born to Joseph A Lusignan, and Stella O'Neill, August 04, 1944 in Syracuse, New York.
Joseph “Big Daddy” was a hardworking man of great strength, intelligence and filled with wise jokes. Joe took on life with all its hardships, pain and suffering with a light heart and a joyful posture. Joe never took himself or anyone else too seriously. His hands were his trademark, everyone knew that his large hands would be stained with grease, cut up from some type of physical labor and callused from years of hard work. Joe had a love for “oldies music” and would have it playing in his garage while he took apart and remodeled old cars. If you caught him in this moment he would transcend you back to the ‘good ol days’ and when times were simpler with one of his thrilling stories. His proudest accomplishments were his 50 years of marriage to the love his life, Betty Lou, fathering his 4 children, enjoying his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Joe was a hug and kiss kind of guy. He was never too proud to love his family and friends. He was a brother, husband, father, grandpa and a great-grandpa; a leader to many, now resting in heaven, because legends, they never die.
Joseph is survived by 4 children: Vickie Stokes (Roy Stokes), Kellie Keller, Joseph A Lusignan (Ambrosia Lusignan), and Scott Lusignan. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons, sister's Sharon O'Neill, Ellen O'Neill, and brother Rory O'Neill. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph A Lusignan, mother, Stella O'Neill, step-father John O'Neill and grandson Kyle Joseph Reed.
