Jun 14, 1955 - Jun 02, 2017
This obituary is administered by:
Joseph "Joe" E. David, 61Sauk RapidsJune 14, 1955 - June 2, 2017Joseph "Joe" E. David of Sauk Rapids, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 2, 2017 at the age of 61. Per Joe's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life at the Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992, Sauk Rapids, MN, Friday, June 16th from 4-8 pm.Joe was born on June 14, 1955 to Marcella (Fouquette) David and the late Joseph M. David, Sr. Joe graduated from Tech High School.Joe met his true love and best friend at the Press Bar. It was his contagious smile & 'chick magnet' - 'candy apple red' Monte Carlo with the sparkling spoke wheels that united them in marriage at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, MN.Joe was a very kind, hardworking, compassionate man and provider. He believed only his wife and three loving daughters were his only priority in life and never thought of himself. Joe was employed at Verso Paper in Sartell as a boiler operator for 33 years. Just twelve days before his birthday, Joe was here one minute and gone the next. It was far too soon and too unexpected. The tears created by his passing were almost comparable to the tears of laughter you would share with Joe and his humor in the accompaniment of his family and friends. Rest assured, that there was never an evening when you were around Joe, that he would always make everyone laugh, despite all his pain. He was always there for anyone, if and when they needed help, but later frustrated with pain was unable to help. He was, loving, caring, a best friend and husband to Mardy, for 37 years. The two of them had the distinct honor of being each other's true best friends. They shared absolutely everything together and truly spent every minute with each other. One of Joe's favorite sayings to Mardy was, that we're both in this together, 'side by each.'Throughout life he enjoyed NHRA drag racing at BIR, taking long road trips, so called, by Joe and Bob (one of his very close friend's & 'bro'), the tour of the St.'s to 'Bronco Bob's' cabin in Osakis and fall trips to Kee-Nee-Moosha with very close friends Don and Cheryl, as well as time spent with other close friends. With great sadness Joe leaves behind, Wife (Mardy) Mardell David (Fischer), Daughters Mandy Luebesmier (David) Joe, Kimberly Pick (David) Jeremy and Kelsey David. Joe also leaves behind other significant loves in his life; his grandchildren Damon, Jesse and Hunter Luebesmier. They will grow knowing the love of their grandfather from the actions he had each time they visited and the close eye that watches over them from above, because Joe would not have it any other way.His family will miss him daily, as he was the encourager and made you stronger each day. He is the one that would give his opinion when only he knew it was right. Without knowing he would teach you and remind you how special each day is and was, and make you more confident. He is being rejoined with his mother Marcella David (Fouquette) (Voit) and father Joseph M. David, step-brother, Duane Fouquette, step-sister, Marjorie (Marge) Swan.Joe, Husband, Best Friend, Dad, Grandpa, we love more than words can describe and hoping you are pain free and now at peace, until one day soon, we will meet again.
You can to the family or in memory of Joseph David.
