Tadisch, JosephJoseph J. Tadisch, age 87, of the Town of Carlton died on January 23, 2017 at Bellin Hospital. He was born on October 28, 1929 to the late Felix and Verna (Ratajczak) Tadisch.Joe served in the U. S.
Army in Korea. After service he married Geraldine Bertrand on February 19, 1955 at St. Joseph Church, Norman. He worked for Hamilton Mfg. in Kewaunee and later in Two Rivers until retiring. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Norman and now St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, a Holy Name Society Member and caretaker of St. Joseph Cemetery for many years. He was a very active member of Carlton Robinson Post 538,
V.F.W. Post 3392 of Kewaunee, the Knights of Columbus and was a charter member of the Carlton Fire Department, retiring in 2006. He and Geraldine received a Certificate of Merit award from the Knights of Columbus October 2016. He led many veterans parades throughout the county and very instrumental in constructing the county veterans memorial monument on the Court House grounds in Kewaunee. He very much enjoyed deer hunting and gardening with his Cub tractor.Survivors include Geraldine, his wife of almost sixty-two years; two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and James Duescher; Kathleen (Kathy) and Walter Waegli both of Kewaunee; one son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Cynthia (Legois) Tadisch, Kewaunee; five grandchildren: Tammy (Gary) Seidl; Victoria (Steven) Dahlke; Benjamin (Lindsay) Waegli; Krissy (Keith) Kickbusch and Kari Waegli; six great grandchildren: Brandan; Cole; Alison; Payton; William; Addylynn; Kashton; one brother and sister-in-law: Martin and Joann Tadisch, Kewaunee; two brothers-in-law: Linus Bertrand, Algoma; Leonard (Ruth) Bertrand, Kewaunee; sister-in-law: JoAnn Bertrand, Luxemburg; a special friend: Dana Gruetzmacher. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Phyllis (William) Stodola; Elizabeth (Iggy) Grenda; Harriet (Robert) Mott; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Lucille Bertrand; brother-in-law: Charles Bertrand and sister-in-law: Donna Bertrand.Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28 at St. Isidore Church, Tisch Mills until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Dennis Drury at 11:00 a.m. followed by full Military Rites. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norman.Go to
