Julia was born on February 16, 1937 in Virovitica, Croatia. She was the youngest of two children and was predeceased by her older sister Katherin. She came to Canada in 1951 and married in 1953. Julia was a dedicated wife and mother and always cherished time with her family, was always the first to look out for others and constantly displayed her endless patience and shared her eternal wisdom whenever the need arose. She loved spending time in the outdoors and was the consummate gardener, nurturing and tending her various gardens every year to produce inspiring beauty and lasting provisions for all to share. Julia was also a big fan of the Calgary flames endlessly cheering and supporting, even on the off days. Julia is survived by her husband Michael and their five children, Peter, Barbara, Paul, William and Dorothy and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Boniface German Catholic Church (1923 Broadview Road N.W.) on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface German Catholic Church (1923 Broadview Road N.W.) on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
