Katherine C. Torres , 90, passed away on August 27, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on November 22, 1926 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico to Jose and Margarita Avila. Katherine was a devoted housewife; she would do housework for others as well. She helped the Democratic Party by transporting voters to the polls. Katherine was a devoted Catholic and helped out the church when needed. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Raymond) Provencio; two sons, Alfredo Torres and Fernando Torres; sisters, Dee Dee Torres and Mary Sandoval; brother, Albert (Teresa) Torres; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.The family will greet friends from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.The Vigil with Rosary for Katherine Torres will be recited at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
