Kenneth L. Nielsen RACINE – 69, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 8, 2014. Ken was born on April 8, 1945 to Sigfred Nielsen and Grace (Dudley) Nielsen in Racine, Wisconsin. Ken worked for J.I. Case Tractor Company in Human Resources, retiring after 30 years. Ken lived in Racine all of his life with his wife, Carol and daughter, Jennifer. They enjoyed family vacations to Disney World in Florida. One special family memory was a trip to Hawaii in 2001. Ken also enjoyed attending Brewer Games. He loved spending time with his dog, Twister and his daughter’s dog, Rootbeer. Ken will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jennifer. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Mary Peterson, brother-in-law, John Mueller, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John Kober and Susan Niemi, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Kathy Tryber, sister-in-law, Amelia Nielsen, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, his parents, Sigfred and Grace Nielsen, his brother, Lester Nielsen and sister-in-law, Barbara Mueller. There will be a funeral service for Ken on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at Wilson Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Jeffrey Mortenson of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate.
