Tryba, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at his Wausau home, Thursday February 2, 2017 of a heart attack.Ken was born on March 15, 1959 in Wausau, WI, to William and Alice (Modrzejewski) Tryba. He graduated from Newman High School in 1977. He furthered his education at North Central Technical School, The Wisconsin Safety Council and UW-Madison.Ken held several different jobs over his lifetime, working mainly as an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor. He was employed at Hardees, Zimpro, Wausau Papers Brokaw, Crescent Electric and currently, West Corporation. On August 14, 1987, he married his best friend and soul mate Joanie Kriehn. Besides his wife, Joanie, and his parents, Ken is survived by two sons, Gregory (Rebecca), Solomons, MD and Daniel (Jessica), Virginia Beach, VA, three grandchildren, Walter Ladwig, Lillyana and William Tryba and two step grandchildren, Michael and Alexander Nichols. Ken is survived by three sisters, Marlene (David) Zoromski, Hatley, Elaine (Donald) Haas, Kronenwetter, and Cynthia (Kenneth) Milbeck, Rib Mountain, two brother and sister in laws, James (Patricia) Belohlavek, Carl (Dorothy) Belohlavek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Martha Modrzejewski and Felix and Mary Tryba, his precious daughter, Victoria (Vicki) Ladwig, brother Jerome, mother in-law, Ruth Belohavek and brother- in-law, Joseph Belohlavek. Kenny loved shooting birds, deer hunting and skeet shooting. He and Joanie own a hobby farm in the Town of Easton where they enjoyed making hay, raising cattle, pigs, chickens, and ducks. The farm was Kenny's passion. He never missed taking his daily four mile walk. Kenny liked watching Star Trek, Oak Island and Hee Haw on Sunday nights, eating Mexican food and reading. Kenny's biggest pride and joy was the time spent with Wally, playing computer games and ATVing with him, and teaching him "the farm life". Raising Greg and Dan into the men they are today, whether working on the farm, doing building or electrical projects, was one of Kenny's greatest satisfactions. Vicki was "daddy's girl."Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 700 West Bridge Street, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Fr. Nate Kuhn will officiate. Relatives and friends may also call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Avenue, Schofield.
