Kobe Jordan Delk, age 7, of Caryville, passed away on Saturday, June 11 at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. He was born on Sept. 3, 2008 in Knoxville. He recently graduated kindergarten at Briceville Elementary School, where he was much loved by his teachers and classmates. Kobe was an avid gamer and enjoyed his Play Station 3 and building anything with Legos. Kobe was extremely close to his twin sister, Katie, and his other two siblings, Maddi and Jaydan. The light of his life was his dog, Daisy, who was his playful and constant companion. Kobe touched the heart of everyone he came in contact with and his smile would light up any room. He had a soul that was touched by Jesus.He is survived by his mother, Savannah Lee Phillips and step-father, C.J. Caffrey; father, Darrell Delk; twin sister, Katie; sister, Maddi; brother, Jaydan; nana, Debbi and husband, Derick Nance; grandfather, Randy Phillips and wife, Sabrina; papaw Jim Whaley; papaw, Mike Caffrey; aunt, Christina Tallent and husband, Jordan; aunt, Alyssa Phillips; aunt, Veronica Delk; uncle, Matthew Whaley and a host of cousins, friends, and special caregivers.Services were held June 15 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel in Rocky Top with the Rev. Adam Lutts and special speaker Steve Patton officiating. Family and friends wishing to attend his graveside service will meet at the funeral home on Thursday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. and will go in funeral procession to the Foust Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment.
