CASSODAY-Stalnaker, Leonard E. Leonard passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the age of 86. His family will gather with friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, at Carlson Funeral Home. Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12, at the First Christian Church. Leonard Elmer was born on September 20, 1929 in Wonsevu, KS, the son of Orion and Onis (Day) Stalnaker. Survivors: six children, Julie (Art) Anderson and Sandy (Dale) Rosebraugh, Les (Deanna) Stalnaker, Jody Schmidt, Lea Kay Hanson (fiance, Randy Strickland), and Allen (Amanda) Stalnaker; grandchildren, Raymond Anderson, Ethanni Edwards, Graham Stalnaker, Michael (Cassie) McAllister, Kayla Hanson, Chelsey Schmidt, Morgan Hanson, Orin and Ethan Stalnaker; three great-grandchildren, Sofie Stalnaker, Dane and Stella Edwards; four step-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, grandparents, and a granddaughter, Desiree Schmidt. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the DeGraff Church or the Butler Co.
