Linda Kay Johnson was born to Geoge and Florence Butler on December 6, 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the fourth child and only girl of five children.
Linda graduated from Little Rock High School in 1971. in 1973 she met Roy E. Johnson. They became best of friends. In 1975 Linda and Roy decided to get married and start a family. Linda became a homemaker and devoted her time and energy to her childern. In 1988 Linda was diagnosed with kidney failure. But that didn't stop her. She kept gpoing strong despite her illness. She was on dialysis for 29 years.
She loved her grandchildren (some would say her own children). G-mama was what everyone called her. Some felt the G stands for Gansta-mama because she took no mess.
On October 30, 2017, the Lord called G-mama home. Preceding her in death was her father, George Butler, brother Charles Butler and grandson Sean Isaac Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted mother, Florence Butler; husband, Roy E. Johnson; brothers, Roy Jean Butler, Clinton Butler, Rickey Butler and Craig Butler; sister, Catherine Jackson; six children, Kyumika Johnson, Eboni Johnson, Roishaud Johnson, Jamal Johnson, Semaj Johnson and David Stewart; a host of grandchildren such as Lavartis Johnson, Lyndonna Bradley, Clayvon Johnson and Gionie Baker.
