June 9, 1928 ~ Dec. 9, 2016Loma LaVon Fife was born on June 9, 1928 in Salt Lake City to Clifford M. Andersen and Edith Ellen Brown Andersen. She passed away December 9, 2016.She met Dad at a young age in Salt Lake City, where they would often meet up in Liberty Park and play on the swings together. When she moved to Sandy, he would ride his bike from Salt Lake to see her. When she moved to Santa Monica during her high school years, Dad would take the bus from Southern California where he was stationed to see her on leave.They were married on June 24, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad passed away in 2009, and mom has been wanting to reunite with him for the past 3 years. Loma is survived by her children: Larry Fife, Randy Fife (Tess), Ken Fife, Diane Fife and Craig Fife, along with 18 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.The family would like to thank Legacy Village Rehab center and Legacy Village memory care; while Loma was only there for a short time, the family is grateful for the wonderful care she received from the nurses and aids.A viewing will be held Tuesday December 13 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Graveside services Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 11:00, with a viewing at 10:15 at Valley View MortuaryLoma will live on in our hearts and memories for many reasons…her caring nature, her devotion to her family, and her love for Pepsi and chocolate.
