Moodie, LynnLynn E. Moodie, age 72, of Ripon, was born on July 27, 1944 in Fond du Lac, WI, to Walter and Glenna (Giffey) Moodie. He passed away peacefully at home when His loving Father called him to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.He married Peggy J. Below on March 6, 1965 at the Ripon Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Turley officiating. The Lord allowed them to celebrate 51 years of marriage together. He attended Madison Business College, UW-Oshkosh and Moraine Park Technical College where he obtained a real estate broker's license. He was self-employed in home construction and trucking. In the 1960's he owned and operated Moodie's Oaks Dairy home delivery service. Upon graduation, he bought his first truck and was involved in the trucking business until he retired in 2014. He enjoyed hunting with his children and was there when they each shot their first deer. He was proud of them and every one of their accomplishments. He looked forward to the annual Moodie picnic each Memorial Day at his nephew's in Mosinee and spending time with his wife and children, his grandchildren, brothers, and his many nieces and nephews. He was an avid storyteller and keeping family history alive was important to him. He loved traveling by car to take in new sights; a trip to Alaska was his favorite. Lynn's faith in Christ was the foundation of his life and he attended Countryside Christian Church.He is survived by his wife and 3 children: Kristine of Ripon, Kevin (Susan) of Oshkosh, and Kyle of Ripon; his grandchildren, Erik, Katelyn, and Brett, who were the highlight of his life. He is further survived by 3 brothers: David (Virginia) of Whiting, WI, Larry (Brenda) of Kronenwetter, WI, and Robert (Eloise) of Plover, WI; a cousin, Jerry Zellmer of Charlotte, NC; and a sister-in-law, Andrea (Darl) Mount of Murphy, TX; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Hazel Below; two uncles, Merton and Donald Giffey; two aunts, Elizabeth Moodie and Isabelle (Giffey) Zellmer; and a great-niece, Faith Moodie.Visitation for Lynn will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI, and again at Countryside Christian Church on Monday, November 28, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.A funeral service for Lynn will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Countryside Christian Church, 1483 Burr Oak Road, Oshkosh, WI, with Pastor Dan Wetzel and Pastor Art Volkmann officiating.
