Maria Escobar, also known as "Abuelita Lena," passed away on March 7, 2025, in Nuevo Galeana, Guerrero, Mexico. Born on July 22, 1954, Maria lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved partner of Donato Vega and together they raised nine wonderful children. Maria was a devoted mother to Sabina, Candy (and her spouse Juan), Pedro (and his spouse Remedios), Eloy (and his spouse Rufino), Oly (and her spouse Ramón), Valeriano (and his spouse Liz), Primitivo (and his spouse Delia), Celsa, and Fortunato (and his spouse Lucero).

Maria will be remembered for her infectious laughter, delicious homemade meals, and unwavering love for her family. She brought joy and light wherever she went, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Mama Maria. You will be deeply missed.
