Marian Lillian PiconMarian L. Picon, 87, of Melbourne, died peacefully on June 20, 2017 at HRMC.  A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on June 30 at Ascension Catholic Church, in Melbourne, with a reception to follow in the church hall.Marian was born on Long Island to Frank and Mollie Sladky on September 26, 1929.  She lived in the NYC area before settling in Melbourne, Florida in 1972.  Marian worked as an executive secretary at Harris Corp. before retiring in 1991.Marian was a gentle, kind person who loved animals, drawing, reading, and gardening.  She also enjoyed dancing, going to church, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with Ascension Church and the Wuesthoff Auxiliary.  We will miss her dearly and remember her forever.Marian was preceded in death by her husband, James Picon, brother Robert, sister-in-law Jean Beck, niece Karen Beck, long-time companion Albert Chasar, and several beloved cats.  Marian is survived by her brother Gerald, daughter Jean Picon, daughter Laura (George) Hluck, two granddaughters, special niece Chris (Mark) McKay and several nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Ascension Catholic Church or the Eau Gallie Public Library.
