Marjorie J. Fiser, 88, passed away after a battle with
breast cancer on Monday, April 13, 2009. Marjorie was born on February 5, 1921 in English, Iowa. Marjorie was employed for 30 years as a telephone operator with Mountain Bell. She was a member of the following clubs; Yuma Rod & Gun Club, Yuma Women's Bowling Association, Pioneer's Association Welcome Neighbor's. She was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Marjorie is survived by her sons, David L. (Mary) Fiser and Gary W. Fiser both of Yuma; daughter in law, Susan Fiser; granddaughters, Diana (Bimbo) Laurel of Yuma, Sherry (Gary) Esham of Tucson, Arizona; grandsons, Gary C. Fiser of Bullhead, Arizona, Randy W. Fiser of New Orleans, Louisiana, Johnny Fiser, Billy (Joanne) Fiser and Jimmy (Melissa) Fiser all of Yuma; 11 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Fiser; son, John C. Fiser; grandson, Bobby L. Fiser. A service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Reverend Philip Courtney will preside over the services. Pallbearers will be Bimbo Laurel, Steven Laurel, Tyler Laurel, Johnny Fiser, Billy Fiser and Jimmy Fiser. Honorary pallbearers are Gary C. Fiser, Randy Fiser and Gary Esham. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Wells Fargo, account # 2144392772.
