Mark Gordon , 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed on September 16, 2020. Mark was born on February 22, 1949 .
He was born Feb. 22, 1949, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Francis and Ardella Gordan. Mark graduated from Austin High School in 1967 and then attended Austin Junior College. He married his high school sweetheart, Julie Sauer, on July 5, 1969. Dan entered the US Army as a Private and then promoted to a Specialist position and traveled the country training military personnel. Dan and Julie returned to Minnesota to raise a family. Upon his return to Minnesota Dan worked for the United States Post Office and held a variety of positions until he found a fulfilling career at Excel Energy, where he spent time as an Nuclear Plant Equipment Operator prior to his retirement in 2005.
Dan spent many weekends boating and fishing along the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. He also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to warm, tropical destinations. Dan’s biggest joy was spending time entertaining his family and friends, where they often enjoyed spaghetti dinners.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Julie and daughters; Natalie (Dan) Wandel of Gilberts, IL, Renee Dickinson of Red Wing, MN, Danyelle (Chris) Kaiser of Eau Claire, WI; 7 grandchildren, Kendall and Kira Dickinson, Katelyn and Jake Wandel, Anni, Ally and Isaiah Kaiser; siblings, Mitch (Connie) Page of Englewood, CO, Linda (Wayne) Johnson of Austin, MN and Vickie (Mark) Hessenius of Austin, MN; brother-in-law, Del Senjem of Hayfield, MN, sister-in-law, Jean Norton of Austin, MN; best buddy Denny Boysen of Flagler Beach, FL and many, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Ardella Page, parents-in-law, Mervyn and Dawnene Sauer, sister,Fran Senjem, brother-in-law, John Norton; many other relatives and friends.
