Martha Camilla Owens was born Dec 7^th, 1933 in Edenton, NC. to Annie Bond Owens and Ullyses Owens. Martha was the 3^rd child of the 6^th child born to Annie and Ullyses. She went on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 4^th 2020.

As a young adult she moved to NYC with her young son Wallace Owens to be with her sisters.  Martha wanted to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse. She worked as a nurse’s aide in different nursing homes and hospitals until she earned her degree at Westchester Community college as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from nursing at the VA hospital in the Bronx.

She loved to travel on cruises and trips to Mexico and Alaska.  She was an active member of Carolina Baptist Church, Bronx, NY and she loved attending Sunday School and Bible Class.  She loved her church family, they honored her as a church mother.

Martha had 2 children Wallace Owens and Felecia (Lisa) Owens Clark, she had no grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by both her parents, her son Wallace, her older sisters Viola Roberston, Emma Mae Walden, her only brother George Alfred Owens, her younger sisters Elizabeth (Lizzy) Owens and Catherine Kyles and niece Patricia (Peanut) Owens.

She leaves behind her daughter Felecia (Lisa) and son in law July Clark of Randolph, MA. Her only surviving younger sister  Annie Marie Owens Roberts of Norfolk, VA and a host of cousins, great nieces and great nephews and her friends.
