Schmitz, Mary Ellen Mary Ellen Schmitz, 83, of Sun City, Arizona, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2017. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to John and Elizabeth (Thorwick) Enk. She moved to Arizona in 1990 after retiring from a 12 year career in woman's fashion at Michaels in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, of 60 years, and her parents. She is survived by her children, Betty (Dave) Fillhouer, Laurence Roberts (Ole), and Chris Ann Schmitz, her grandchildren Andrea and Nick, her sisters Patricia, Dorothy, Christine and her brother John and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2 pm at Best Funeral Services, 9380 W. Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the , arthritis.org
