Sroda, Mary LouMary Lou (Davis) Sroda, 79, Green Bay, passed away on November 19, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born on June 5, 1937 in Stevens Point to the late Lawrence and Neva (Henze) Davis.Mary Lou married the love of her life, LeRoy Sroda, on June 25, 1960 at St. Stanislaus Church in Stevens Point, WI. They were married for 56 wonderful years and raised three children. Mary Lou graduated from Central State Teachers College in Home Economics. She taught in Rudolph and Algoma before deciding to begin their family.Mary Lou felt blessed to see her kids get married and enjoyed watching her grandchildren in many different sports, musicals and concerts throughout the years. She truly valued education and was proud to see her husband and her children complete higher education degrees. With great pride she supported her grandchildren as they followed suit on similar educational journeys.Mary Lou enjoyed volunteering at Cormier Elementary School and was active in the Lioness Club assisting with many charitable events. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, spending time with grandkids, watching the packers and traveling. They enjoyed spending their winters in Anna Maria Island, traveling domestically and internationally and relaxing at their cottageShe is survived by her husband, LeRoy; her children, Rick (Connie) Washington and his children, Mikayla, Miriah and Miranda, Mike (Mari) Sroda of Janesville and their children, Scott, Ciarra and Ross, Jill (David) Giesler of Ashwaubenon and their children, Nicole (Great Grandson, Grayson), Brett and Brody; her brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Nancy; daughter-in-law, Michelle Gauthier; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Neva and Lawrence; her brothers, Rex, Jack (Alice); and sister, Betty (Mac).A celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida Street from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
