Simpson, Maye (Altman),105, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on April 3, 2017 at Jefferson Manor. Maye and Colby were long-time members of the Broadway Church of the Nazarene and later moved their membership to the Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Maye was born on February 12, 1912 in Greensburg, Kentucky to the late William and Martha (Spillman) Altman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Colby Simpson; sisters, Alice King, Frances Carter, Ida Altman, and Novie Akin; brothers, Henry Altman, Rev. Robert Altman and Clyde Altman. After the passing of her husband Colby, she was lovingly cared for by her nephew Bob and Lois Altman. Maye is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243). A funeral ceremony to honor "Aunt Maye" will be held 11:00am on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Greensburg, Kentucky.
