Melissa Lynn Mendonsa passed away on October 18, 2015 at age 40 after a short battle with cancer. Melissa leaves behind the love of her life, daughter, Taylor Nicole. She also leaves behind her loving parents Nancy and Bob Mendonsa, best baby brother Robby, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Melissa was born on July 24, 1975 and spent her life in Salinas. She graduated from Salinas High School in 1993. She went on to work at the Superior Court for nineteen years where she flourished with many professional successes and great friendships that turned into her extended family. 

Melissa loved being a mother more than anything else. She and Taylor are each other's best friends and greatest treasures. Melissa loved hard and had many passions in life including her dog Princess Fifi, J.C. and Gavin, best friends forever Lindsi, Sara, Jennifer and Matt. 

Melissa loved to see, explore and devote much of her time to family Disneyland trips, San Francisco Giants games, concerts with her friends and Taylor along with trips to the beach. Her loved ones will cherish her every day and remember what a phenomenal mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece and friend Melissa was.
