FRANKSVILLE - Merlyn "Terry" Peter Brahm, 86, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints. He was born on December 30, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of the late John and Sidonia (nee: Gengler) Brahm. Terry was united in marriage to Barbara Albrecht on July 18, 1953 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953 as an ambulance driver. Terry was a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He had been employed with the United States Postal Service. Terry loved woodworking. He also enjoyed fishing, cribbage and working crossword puzzles. Surviving are his children, Jeff (Sue) Brahm, Steve (June) Brahm, Jim (Kathy) Brahm and Susan (Andrew) Czysz; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Sally, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara on November 18, 2006 and two brothers, Sylvester and Leander. There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stars & Stripes Honor Flight has been suggested.
