Michael Logan NavarreSUNSET - Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Michael Logan Navarre, age 21, who passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his residence in Sunset.Michael was born on June 27, 1995 in Lafayette, LA and was a native of Duson. He currently resided in Sunset. He graduated from Acadiana High School in 2013 and was attending SLCC as a Graphic Design student. Michael was employed with Grafx Plus Sunset. Michael was an avid player in the MGT community and will be deeply missed and remembered by all. He also had a love for art and greatly enjoyed drawing and sketching. Michael was known for his gentle soul, his kindness and compassion to both people and animals. He possessed a keen intelligence, a quick wit and a remarkable sense of humor. He deeply loved his family, most particularly his mother, Tisa, and his pop and grandmothers. Survivors include his mother, Tisa LaVergne Janes; his father, Mike Navarre; his stepfather, Chris Janes; his paternal grandmother, Eldine Dugas Navarre; his maternal grandparents, Cecil LaVergne and the former Jerilyn Guidry; his sister, Sasha; his aunts and uncles, Tobyn and Manetta LaVergne, Carolyn and Clint Fontenot, Monica Navarre, Ronnie Durio, Heidi Ann Durio; his lifelong friend, Matthew Caskey; and his cat, Eevee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Haywood Navarre; and one uncle, Steve Durio.A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.
