Michael A. Quinn, 64, of Montrose, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2015 in Olean, N.Y. He was born on September 15, 1950 in Olean, N.Y., to the late John W. Sr. and Mildred R. (Hammeke) Quinn. He is survived by his wife of almost 26 years of whom he married on November 18, 1989, Phyllis (Hurd) Quinn, of Montrose.He is also survived by his four children, James (Jennifer) Quinn, of Emporium; Sean, Krista, and Felicia Quinn, all of Montrose; six grandchildren, Faith, James, Emily, Rebekah, Kristina, and Alexi; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Stephen M. (Donna) Quinn, Quakertown, Richard D. Quinn, Shinglehouse, John W. (Laura) Quinn, Jr., Shinglehouse; one sister and brother-in-law, Christine (Brian) Church, Wellsville, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews. Michael graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, and graduated from Philadelphia Community College with his Registered Nursing Degree in 1977 and then received his BA in Psychology at Alfred University in 1987. He worked as a Registered Nurse in Coudersport, Bradford, and Olean, N.Y.. He worked on the ambulance as an EMT in Shinglehouse. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Michael was an extremely avid reader and enjoyed playing his guitar. He enjoyed raising his triplets and being around his family.A Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Franklin Forks United Methodist Church, Franklin Forks, with the Rev. Richard Hurd of the Belmont & Scio Charge, officiating and the Rev. Sara Kolenda assisting. Calling hours were held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose. Interment will be at the Elk Creek Cemetery, Borden, N.Y.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Susquehanna County Library, Montrose; the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Shinglehouse; or the Franklin Forks United Methodist Church, Franklin, Forks.
