Nell Eisel RACINE – Nell Eisel, 93, passed away on May 4, 2014 at Kenosha Estates. Nell was born on May 23, 1920 to Claude and Helen (Van Dyke) DeGraff in Racine, Wisconsin. Nell lived in Racine her entire life. She attended the very first class of Racine Christian School, graduating in 1934. Nell graduated from William Horlick High School. She was united in marriage to Walter Eisel on May 25, 1946 until his death on January 4, 1969. Nell was a lifelong member of the Racine Christian Reformed Church, (where she was a member of Golden Hour and president of Dorcas Society). Nell was a Teacher’s Aide for the Racine Unified School System for 17 years. She enjoyed music, sewing, reading, painting and growing plants. Nell also traveled extensively. Nell is survived by her sons, Randy (Linda) Eisel, John (Charlene) Eisel, sisters; Lina Van Koningsveld and Ruth Brumback. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Brian (Germaine), Rebecca, Laura (Mike), John (Sandy), Tim (Cindy), Mike (Kyle) great-grandchildren; Devon, Lucas, Alexis, Mikayla, Justin, Elisabeth, Aaron, Colin, John III and many nieces and nephews. Nell was also preceded in death by her parents; Claude and Helen, and her two brothers-in-law; Herman Van Koningsveld and Russell Brumback. A Funeral Service for Nell will be held at Racine Christian Reformed Church, 900 Illinois Street, on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
