Norma I. VoogtAnkenyNorma I. Voogt, 91, of Ankeny passed away March 30, 2017. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at Memorial Services of Iowa funeral home (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd.). Norma was born on May 8, 1925, in Dumont, Iowa, to Frank and Marion Springer. Norma was a WWII veteran having served in the Coast Guard. She worked at the Pentagon before moving back to Iowa where she married Frederik C. Voogt. Norma worked as the Credit and Office Manager for A.Y. McDonald Plumbing Supply before retiring. Norma and Fred lived for many years on the southside of Des Moines before moving to Ankeny, making many friends at Maplewood Village. Norma was a member of Ankeny First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting, traveling and, perhaps most, visits with her family. Norma is survived by her children Jackie (Randy) Radke and Daniel (Vicki) Voogt; grandchildren Tracie (Mike) Hanna and Emily Voogt; great grandchildren Zach and Britnie Hanna, and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Harry Springer; sister Dorothy Tate and her husband, Fred.Norma has been cremated and will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Online at www.MemorialServicesOfIowa.com
