CEDARVILLE - Norman D. Current, age 71, of Cedarville, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on January 30, 1944 in Pike County, Ohio the youngest of 10 children born to Edith Elsie (Miller) and Edwin Alfred Current. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Edward, Helen, Viola Mae, Charles Vernon, Allen, Robert, Ethel, Eldon and Patricia. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and nieces and their children and extended families: Matt (Lori) Pollock; Teresa (Wayne) King; and Pamela (Current) and John Collins, with whom he had resided for the last several years. He was especially fond of Pam and John's children and grandchildren, actually referring to them as his own 5 grandchildren: Joshua (Tammy) Blackburn; Amber Blackburn; John Robert (Talia) Collins; Katie (Jacob) Blocher and Torie (Trett) Soli; and 4 great grandchildren: Emma and Addison; Olivia and his special buddy, Eli. Norman was a graduate of Cedarville High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving during VietNam Era. He was a member of the Cedarville American Legion. Norman had worked at the Morris Bean & Co.; Otis Elevator in London and Dale's Truck Parts in Cedarville. His passions were horseracing and gardening. The family was fortunate to have recently celebrated Norman's life with his family during a Living Memorial in his honor. Norman's wish was to be cremated.
