Otis J. Leathers 1941—2016Otis Julian Leathers, age 75, of Gray, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his residence. Otis was born on April 15, 1941 in Pocahontas, AR., to the late Molruy Otis Leathers and Ina Rachel Lynch Leathers. Otis had worked as a hydraulic mechanic and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, bear hunting and gardening. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 37 years, Phyllis Louise Devore Leathers; his son, Jason Leathers and wife Adena, of the home; his daughter, Dana Matherly and husband Jonathan, of the home; 3 grandchildren, Holston Leathers, Kenton Leathers, and Jeremiah Leathers; 1 step-grandson, Ethan Nidiffer; 2 sisters, Mignon Burton, of Rockford, IL and Yvonne Braden, of Canton, OH.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his residence, 706 Hales Chapel Road, Gray, TN 37615.
