Pauline Lloyd ChristensenJanuary 22, 1934 - June 29, 2016Pauline Lloyd Christensen passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 in Layton, Utah at the age of 82. She was born on January 22, 1934 in Grace, Idaho. Pauline attended school in Bancroft and a couple of years in Idaho Falls. She was the daughter of Joseph and Lillis Lloyd of Bancroft. They lived on a ranch in the hills 3 miles south of Bancroft. She married Reed Nuffer Christensen of Central, Idaho on December 3, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Lund, Idaho where Reed farmed for over 30 years. There, they raised their 4 children until they moved to Grace, Idaho in 1968 where they lived for 45 years. They moved to Layton, Utah in 2013 to be closer to family.Pauline loved music. She had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing in duets and her singing group the "Reflections". She taught her children to love music and sang to them often. Pauline loved the beauty of the earth and loved to walk in the hills enjoying all of nature. She loved her flowers around her house.She loved to serve others and held many callings in the LDS Church. She loved her calling as Relief Society President where she could do much good in her service. She loved her calling as a temple worker in the Logan LDS Temple, especially when she had the opportunity to help the new brides before their wedding.Pauline is survived by her husband Reed, a brother Keith Lloyd, her sons, Kerry, Wallace and Barret Christensen and a daughter Karla Jo (Christensen) Holyoak. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joan (Lloyd) Cramer and a grandson Jonathon Reed Christensen. Services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Central Idaho Cemetery.Condolences may be shared with family online at www.simsfh.com.
