Mrs. Pearlie Mae Simmons, passed away on Thur., April 16, 2009 at a Tampa hospital. Homegoing will be held on Sat. April 25, at 2pm from Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church 2628 East 27th Ave., Rev. Dr. W. J. Haynes, Pastor, Rev. Tim J. Kemp, Pastor of Peace Progressive Baptist Church, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Pearlie Mae Simmons was born on Nov. 4, 1936 in Indian Town, Fl. She resided in Lake City, Fl. and Chicago, IL before moving to Tampa, Fl in 1955. Mrs. Simmons leaves behind her 10 sons LeVon Simmons, Tommy Simmons, Charles Simmons, Earnest Simmons III, Tyrone Lindsey, Kim Stacey Lindsey, Marvin Lindsey, Willie Lindsey, Anthony Lindsey and Darryl Lindsey, 36 grandchildren, Denatalie L., Sacajaweca M., Prince E, Princess E. Simmons, Tanjahnika Rice, Tia Jones, P'rincess J., P'rince, J'amiah, Jah'jierh E., Makdesh M., Pearlie M., Ma'Riah M., Kelvin, Eljay, Latoya, Marcus, Maurice, Jasmine, Justin, Tino, Keyaun, Nyelah, Bakaree, Darnisha, Recha, Shelia, Trevia, Brian, Rose, Mark, Gabriel, Michael B. Kizzy, Charlie and Kimberly, one sister Juanita Givens and daughter Arnetress, Miami, Fl.; Rose Marie Wilcox, Stacey & Philip Wilcox. Two Great Grandchildren; Danielle Lee & Jasmine. One aunt Annie Mae Mitchell, Callahan, FL; a host of cousins among whom are Betty Parish, Sherlane Parish, Janice Parish, Jerome Parish, Lillian and Foretta, Callahan, FL; Bobby Travis, Janet Travis, and Theo Jr., Toni Griffin, Drayton Denson, Anthony Griffin Bremery, Drayona, Denson, Lake City, Fl., a host of other relatives among whom are Leonora Lindsey, Rhonda Daniels and family, a host of other relatives among whom are Therese James and family, Aimee Lindsey, Toni Robinson, Sandra Debosa, Inell Dennis, the Holiday family, the fathers of her sons Willie B. Lindsey and Leroy Simmons, and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing for Mrs. Simmons will be held on Friday April 24, 2009 from 5-8pm at Everett-Derr & Anderson Funeral Home, 5117 North 22nd Street.
