Wettern, RandalRandal Scott Wettern, age 60, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his residence on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Randal was born on December 17, 1956 to the late Richard and Jane (Simanski) Wettern in Red Wing, MN. Randal lived in New London and worked at Bemis for over 20 years and was an avid outdoorsman. Randal married Nancy Mathewson and they had 3 children. He loved to fish, hunt and trap. Randal's favorite times were those spent with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed bodybuilding, country music, especially Johnny Cash and he had a great sense of humor. Randal is survived by his children, Steven (Camerron) Wettern, Wisconsin Rapids, Jacob Wettern, New London and Tayla (Cory) Hilbert, Neenah; 4 grandchildren, Elisabeth, Caelan, Jacob and Parker; siblings, Gary (Dawn) Wettern, Red Wing, MN, Dawn (John) Bauer, Red Wing, MN, Jeff (Robin) Wettern, Lake City, MN and Tim Wettern, Crystal, MN. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Randal was preceded in death by his parents and aunts and uncles.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Red Wing, MN.A memorial fund has been established, and memorials can be sent to Wettern Family, 10951 Grant St., Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494.
