Rene Kemps, age 63, a resident of Merced, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017. He was born on September 1, 1953 to the late Albert Pete and Pauline Kemps. Rene enjoyed the great outdoors. He liked to hunt, camp, and fish. He was a security guard for Merced County for 10 years, owned and drove commercial truck for 25 years. He is survived by his children: Christopher Kemps, Jeremy Kemps and Ashley Kemps; sisters: Anita Reusch and Diane Kelemen. He is further survived by five grandchildren and four nieces. A Chapel Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home, 901 W. Main Street in Merced.
