Winkelspecht, RickRick Winkelspecht, age 53, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017. He was born on June 7, 1964, in Sheboygan, to the late Harry "Wink" Winkelspecht and Lynn (Lund) Wagner. After graduating from Green Bay West High School in 1982, he joined the
U.S. Air Force in 1984. He married the former Laura Day on June 15, 1985, in Green Bay. He worked at West Corporation in the information technology department for over 15 years. In his free time, Rick enjoyed biking, technology, working on cars, tinkering, photography, music, and cruising in his convertible. Above all else, he loved being a dad. Rick was a very giving man, and he will continue to give through his organ donations.Rick will be sadly missed by his wife, Laura; his children, Tom and Katie Winkelspecht; step-mom, Sue Winkelspecht; step-dad, Ken Wagner; brother, Bob (Nancy) Winkelspecht; step-sisters, Michelle Maloney and Jody (Jay) Yaeso; father-in-law, Fred Day; step mother-in-law, Lois Day; brothers-in-law, Ed (Marsan) Day, Pat (Marlene) Day, and John (Sharon) Day; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Judy Fournier.Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 7:30 p.m. with military honors to follow.
