"Ben" Bloom, 37, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at his residence.He was born on October 28, 1979, in Peoria, IL, to Robert A. and Deborah K. (Hamann) Bloom. Surviving are his mother, Debbie (Mike) Kluever of Metamora; father, Robert Bloom of Peoria; siblings, Beth (Jami) Martinez, Noah Bloom and Jonah Bloom, all of Peoria; beloved niece and nephew, Thayer and Sienna Martinez; many friends; and his best friend, his dog Ruby.He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.Ben grew up in Washington and was a graduate of Washington Community High School. He was a warehouse manager for Climax Mine and Empire Mine in Colorado. He made many friends while living in Milwaukee and Colorado. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs, Bears, Hawks and Bulls fan. He was an extraordinary crossword puzzler and Scrabble and Jeopardy player. He was a loveable and giving person and loved to have a good time. He loved his dog, Ruby, very much.Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel in Germantown Hills, with the Reverend Barry Long officiating.
