Herman, RobertRobert C. Herman, age 86 of Suring, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 27, 2017. Robert was born on January 10, 1931 to the late Viler and Mabel (Wege) Herman in Neenah, WI. Right after graduating from high school, Robert joined the United States Army and served for four years. Robert married Lorraine Hoehne on August 18, 1956 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah and they celebrated a wonderful 60 years. For over 20 years he worked as a typographer at Banta Publishing. Robert was an avid Packers fan. He was a connoisseur of all things butter. Robert also enjoyed spending time outside and with family and friends. He is a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Suring and was a member of the American Legion Post #283 in Suring.Robert is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Suring; 2 sons, William (Sheri) Herman of Neenah and Scott (Tina Anderson) Herman of De Pere; a daughter, Debbie (Kurt) Kohl of Appleton; 2 grandchildren, Ciara Herman and Trevor Herman. He is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Katherine; 2 sisters; beloved dog, Max.Visitation will be held at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Suring on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Wayne C. Garman officiating. Military honors will take place after the service. Interment will take place in Rest Haven in Menasha at a later date.
