Trudeau, RobertRobert (Bob) Nicholas Trudeau, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in the Emergency room at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield. Burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.Bob was born on November 1, 1933 to George and Theresa (Eckes) Trudeau in Marshfield. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Marshfield public schools. On August 8, 1953 he married Betty Faber at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. Bob loved his wife dearly, and did his best to take care of her and provide for her each day of their almost 64 year marriage. Together they had and raised three sons, Dennis, Randy, and Gary. He loved his family very much and instilled in each of his sons his value of hard work.Bob worked primarily as a certified welder and fabricator across the country. He was rarely tasked with a challenge or problem he could not solve. If there was a way Bob could make someone else's life better or easier, he would do it without hesitation. In addition to being an incredibly hard worker and active man, he was always ready to help others at the drop of a hat. He took pleasure in doing small things like dropping off a special treat to family and friends. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty, and their sons, and his four grandchildren, Ian, Aynsley, Shawn and Zakkery, and his great grandchildren, Blake, Jaxson, Adelyn, Zander, and Nevaeh. He was proud of and loved each of them deeply. Bob especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passions for mechanical things like steam engines, farm equipment, and other machinery. He was always full of stories to share, passing on his experiences to his loved ones. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, George Trudeau.Thank you to friends and neighbors who have consistently supported Bob and Betty over the years.
