Olinger, Robert W.Robert W. Olinger, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born on January 27, 1939, in Neenah to the late Helen and Robert Olinger. Robert was an outgoing, fun-loving person who loved spending time with family and friends. Over the last 25 years, he lived in two group homes, Vinland II in Oshkosh and Van Dyke House in Appleton. He enjoyed many activities, including shopping at the Dollar Store, Bingo, attending parades and festivals, and eating out. He spent many hours on his iPad, singing, and raising and displaying his numerous American flags.Survivors include his sister Barbara (Richard) Johnson of Neenah; niece Brenda (Scott) Broeske; and nephew Aaron (Amy) Johnson. He is further survived by his great-nephews Derek and Mitchell Broeske of Neenah; cousin Jennifer (John) Kuttenberg and their grown sons: Jim, Tom, and John of Indian Head Park, Illinois.The Funeral Service for Robert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the hour of the service.Many thanks go to the staff at Vinland II and Van Dyke House for the years of loving care, outings, and activities that Bob so enjoyed.A very special thank you to the caring nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
