Ronald E. Priest of Tawas City, formerly of AuGres, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 at his home, age 64 years. Ronald was born on Feb. 19, 1950 in Omer to Elwood and Doris (Broadworth) Priest. He graduated from AuGres-Sims High School, Class of 1969. Shortly after high school, he continued his education in college for paralegal studies. Ronald was employed by Meijer where he worked as a store manager for many years until his retirement. He relocated to the State of Florida and became a manager in the hotel industry for a while. Ronald soon moved back to Tawas City to be closer to his family. He will always be remembered for his passion of playing the guitar, computers, scuba diving and collecting black powder guns. Ronald was a very intelligent man who also had a deep faith of Christianity. He studied in divinity and became a certified reverend. He will be missed forever by all who had the opportunity to know and love him. Ronald is survived by his three daughters, Gretchen McDuffy, Rachael Hope and Cyndi Priest; one sister, Carla Schneider of AuGres; one brother, Richard Priest of Tawas City; five grandchildren; one nephew, Kevin Schneider; and one niece, Rebeka Rosebrugh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Doris Priest, one brother, Gary Priest; one nephew, Jeff Schneider; and one niece, Kari Neumeyer. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
