Ronald James LundyLansingRonald James Lundy, departed this world to be with his everlasting Father on November 17, 2016. He was born on August 29, 1934 in Lansing, MI to Roland and Cecilia Lundy. Ron graduated from Lansing Resurrection High School and attended the University of San Francisco. Ron was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army Air Corps. He spent 12 years as a flight instructor and navigator in the aviation industry in California and Nevada. Ron returned to Lansing and spent 40 years as a management and sales professional in the moving and storage industry. Ron was an active member of VFW Post 6132, serving in various leadership roles. He was an avid meteorology expert who served as the staff meteorologist at WJIM TV in the late 1960's. Ron loved his family especially his wife Kathy and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren - his happiest moments were times spent together. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Lundy; parents, Cecelia Lundy and Roland Lundy; in-laws Mary and James Clarke; nephew, Michael Bunger; and brother-in-law, Bill Bunger. Ron will be missed by his children, Linda Riley and friend Jeff Hughes (Lansing), Patti Lundy and fiancé Tim Cosgrove (East Lansing) and Jim and Theresa Lundy (Byron Center); brother and sister in-law Donald and Karen Lundy (Traverse City); sister in-law, Mary Bunger (Rohnert Park, CA); grandchildren, Rodney and Sarah Riley (Alexis, Olivia), Bryan and Candy Hissong (Aiden, Ashton and Kaydence), Brent and Amanda Hissong (Madeline, Colton), Charlie Lundy and Max Lundy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger presiding. Rite of committal will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope. Visitation continues Wednesday at 10:00AM at the church.
