Sandra J. "Sandy" Bollendorf1940 - 2016Sandra "Sandy" J. Bollendorf, 75, of Kenosha passed away peacefully Sunday, March 20, 2016, at her daughter's residence surrounded by her loving family.She was born on June 8, 1940, to the late Kenneth and Bernice M. (Grasser) Schneider. She was educated at St. George Grade School, graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School and attended UW LaCrosse.On Feb. 27, 1960, she married Raymond Bollendorf at St. George Catholic Church.Sandy worked as a secretary at Great Lakes Naval Base for several years; she worked kinship at St. Mary's Lutheran, she worked in medical records at Kenosha Hospital and was secretary, accountant and bookkeeper for her husband at Kenosha Step.Sandy was a lifelong member of St. George and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church where she was president of home and school; President of Christian Mothers and was also the part time organist. She coached cheerleading, Little League and was a Den Mother. Sandy volunteered at the food pantry for St. Elizabeth and St. Vincent DePaul. Sandy enjoyed playing golf, cards, painting and was a great athlete. She loved going up north and traveling to Florida. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.Sandy is survived by her loving husband Ray; her loving children, Robin (Mike) Reif of Somers, Raymond "Dugie" (Tracy) Bollendorf, Jr. of Bristol, Mark (Lydia) Bollendorf of Mount Pleasant, and Kevin (Jodi) Bollendorf of Janesville; her grandchildren, Cody, Christina, Adria, Jamie, Griffin, Emily and Sara; and her siblings, Kevin (Chris) Schneider of Burlington, Kurt Schneider of Kenosha, Kay (Daniel) Clements of Westfield, Wis., and Shirley (Bill) Westerlund of Kenosha; and a sister-in-law Lorraine Schneider.She is preceded in death by her parents Bernice and Ken; by her friend and grandmother Lucy Grasser; and her brother Kenneth Schneider, Jr.Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home, and again on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a Prayer Service starting at Noon. The family would like to thank Gentiva Health Care and Hospice.
