VanderMuss, Sandra "Sam" J.Sandra "Sam" J. VanderMuss, 61, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at ManorCare West Nursing Home after a short, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 29, 1956, to Charles and Patricia (Girard) Olson in Green Bay.She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School and on October 13, 1990 she married Robert VanderMuss. Sandra worked as a supervisor in the cafeteria at St. Vincent Hospital for over 30 years. She loved to go to Door County in the fall with her sisters and enjoyed taking the ferry to Washington Island.Sandra is survived by her daughter, Laeklyn VanderMuss; two stepsons, Tracy and Arron (Kris) VanderMuss; two step-grandchildren, Blake and Samantha VanderMuss. She is further survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Leroy Pezewski, Sue and Brad Van Horn, Mary and Bruce Harvey; two nieces, Aimee (Chad) Vorpahl and Jenny LeyvaQuinones; two great-nieces, Heaven LeyvaQuinones and Sophia Vorpahl; two great-nephews, Dauntae LeyvaQuinones and Ayden Vorpahl; aunt, Diane Girard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Tommy Peterson; as well as many nieces, nephews and her dog, Jovie.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; grandparents; aunts, Donna Korht and Arlene Bridger; uncle, David Girard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy Jerovetz and Patrick VanderMuss.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 7.
